Classic chess is a traditional two-player strategy game conducted on an 8×8 grid called a chessboard, consisting of 64 squares. Each player begins with 16 pieces: a king, a queen, two knights, two rooks, two bishops, and eight pawns. The primary objective is to checkmate your opponent’s king—placing it under direct threat of capture with no legal escape. The game can be enjoyed against artificial intelligence or with a second player sharing the same device. Additionally, it offers features to help solve chess puzzles.
